JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Local author and historian Keith Norman will be present at Fort Seward tonight to discuss his new book. He will be joined by Todd Harburn, who will also present information on the life of Dr. James DeWolf, a surgeon during the early 1870’s at Fort Seward.
Norman states that his book “Frontier Valor: The Medal of Honor on the Northern Plains”, focuses on the 133 men who received the Medal of Honor in the area during the Indian War Period.
Norman says his book recounts a story for each man who was awarded the Medal of Honor, giving more background on each recipient during the Indian Wars.
Norman will be joined by Todd Harburn of Michigan. Harburn will be presenting his new book that chronicles the story of Dr. James DeWolf.
A presentation of Harburn’s findings will also be giving during the free event. The book signing and presentation will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Fort Seward and is open to the public.
