N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and Central Valley Health have teamed up for the 2nd annual Kids Safety Day on June 22nd.

Central Valley Unit Administrator Robin Iszler pointed out that the day was created last year to help generate awareness for safety in different areas.

The Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Fire Department, Jamestown Ambulance, Stutsman County Sheriff, American Red Cross, Ottertail Power Company and Game & Fish will all be on hand to answer questions about safety in their area of expertise.

Kids ages 4 to pre-teen are encouraged to attend the event from 9AM to 3PM at the Jamestown Civic Center. Iszler says the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be providing free car seat checks.

Iszler pointed out that if a seat is outdated or another issue is found, cart seats will be available for purchase. Those wishing to have their car seats checked or need an additional seat or replacement seat should drive up to the West front door of the civic center with their car and the technicians will assist them.
