CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Valley City now believes it has all of its legal ducks in a row to move forward with work on the permanent flood protection in the city of bridges.

On June 23rd, the city held a special meeting to get the final clarification as to what should be written in a letter to the State Water Commission concerning a technical matter.

The Valley City Commission approved of a motion that provides directing legal counsel to prepare a letter to the State Water Commission affirming that the City of Valley City will and can implement eminent domain if or when city flood protection measures fail.
