FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The upcoming severe weather event in the forecast for today has been modified.

National Weather Service forecaster Bill Barrett said the biggest change is that the heavier rainfall will likely move into West Central Minnesota today instead of eastern North Dakota. He said the severe weather should hit the area late this afternoon.

Meanwhile, National Weather Service forecaster Vince Godon said the severe weather risk has been reduced to areas south and east of the Fargo Moorhead area into Minnesota.
