N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Enderlin Post 221 Legion Baseball Team helped secure the top seed for the southeast region tournament with a win in their final game of the regular of the season Thursday night. The Railcats topped Fairmount/Hankinson/Lidgerwood 7-3 in their region game and won the non region game 5-3. Enderlin will host the region tournament beginning Wednesday.

 

Game 1: Enderlin 7  F/H/L 3

The Railcats never trailed after scoring twice in the 2nd inning. F/H/L answered back right away with a run in the 3rd but thats the closest they’d get. Dustin Kasowski and Lain Combs had 2 RBI. Jorun Hamre hit a solo home run and Pete Lindgren drove in a run. He was also the pitcher of record lasting all 7 innings with 10 strike outs, giving up 2 earned runs. 

Game 2: Enderlin 5   F/H/L 2 (5 innings)

Hamre and Kasowski led the way for Post 221. Both hit home runs with 2 RBIs. Devon Carter got the win working 4 2/3 innings registering 6 strike outs.
