N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At around 4:25 AM on Tuesday, a Dodge pickup rolled on Interstate 94 five miles East of Jamestown.

The crash took the life of 17 year-old Daniel Short of Belcourt, ND.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Short was ejected during the crash and died on scene. 54 year-old driver Wilmer Nadeau of Fargo suffered minor injuries and was transported to Jamestown for medical treatment. Once released, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He is currently being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center.

The Dodge pickup was stolen from a rural residence in Spiritwood. The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigator into the stolen vehicle and are assisting the NDHP in the crash investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
