CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Energy Transfer Partners thanked the Barnes County Sheriff’s office for helping them assist the Morton County Sheriff’s department during the month’s long Dakota Access Pipeline protest.

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said working those extra days was a sacrifice for deputies and their families. He said he was surprised by how people were misinformed about the truth through social media sites.

In a letter to Barnes County Commission Chairman Mike Metcalf, Energy Transfer said, “your professionalism and dedication under harsh winter conditions and intense physical and emotional stress is sincerely appreciated.”
