CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The contractor is putting the finishing touches on the new million dollar Faust Bridge in Barnes County.

KLJ engineer Shawn Mayfield said the structure is open to traffic but crews are busy getting the last items in place. He said the new bridge is two feet higher compared to the old one. The road Barnes County 17 had to be raised also to meet the entry off the new bridge.

The project finished a month ahead of schedule Mayfield said, due to drier weather this spring and summer.
