N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Work continues on the capital campaign for Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Phase One includes building the private rooms for residents. Other items included in the capital campaign are the new communication system, which has been fully installed now, kitchen renovations and removing old wallpaper. The total cost of Phase One is estimated around $400,000.

Development Director Jan Barnes reports that the kitchen is currently 55 years old and has never had a remodel. Barnes says they’ve also raised enough money to remodel the two bathing suites.

Barnes says they continue to raise money through volunteers, donations and events like the upcoming Bike Run on August 27th. Barnes says they will be using that money to continue work on Phase One.
