(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High volleyball team has been a constant atop the WDA standings for most of the last decade and 2017 is expected to be much different. The WDA released a preseason coaches poll today with the Jays sitting on top.

They return a large nucleus of their team that took 7th in the state tournament a year ago after narrowly losing to Shanley in the quarterfinals. Setter Megan Gaffaney leads the way in her 4th season as the starter with over 2,000 assists.

Jamestown opens their season this weekend with the East/West tournament in Bismarck and their first WDA match is slated for August 29th hosting Legacy.
