N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 50 years of study and research from the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center will be showcased to the public on September 16th.

The U.S. Geological Survey Center of Jamestown will be hosting an open house that day for the public to come and learn more about what they do. Biologist Dave Mushet says the USGS Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center has done a lot of work in their time.

Individuals will have a chance to learn about the research conducted at the facility. Wildlife-oriented activities will be available for children as well. Mushet says they’ve been a center near Jamestown since 1965.

Mushet says they hope to make the open house a regular event. To get to the center take Bloom Exit 262 off of I-94 and head one mile south. For more information, contact Dave Mushet at 701-253-5558.
