BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota residents woke up to a smoky haze this morning as wildfires continue to devastate parts of the western U.S. and Canada.

The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that smoke concentration will remain in the forecast for a majority of Wednesday. Meteorologist Patrick Ayd reports that it’ll be smoky and warm today.

Ayd says winds have blown a mass of smoke into the region. He says the visibility reduction and air quality will be noticeable throughout the rest of today. The relief will come from much needed rains later this evening.

As far as the rest of the forecast, today is expected to be one of the last warm days of 2017.
