FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- After a back and fourth set 1 Valley City settled in to sweep Fargo South 25-23,25-12,25-9 for their second straight win and 7th EDC victory.

The Hi-Liners came into the game short handed with hitter Josie Berntson still battling an injury and setter Reagan Ingstad out sick. Natalie Lemnus had a strong first start as setter with 24 assist to go along with 13 digs and and 2 aces. Coach Jill Taylor felt that after the opening set The Hi-Liners started coming together

 

Cali Halgrimson led the offense with 8 kills while Mackenzie Pederson and Macy Olstad had 6 each. Pederson added 4 blocks and Olstad 3. Valley City combined for 9 aces led by Olstad with 3. Kacee White had a match high 17 digs, Cali Halgrimson collected 12.

With the win The Hi-Liners are 9-4 and 7-1 in The EDC tied for first with West Fargo. Thursday night they host Devils Lake.
