JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents of a new convicted sex offender living within the city of Jamestown.

37 year-old John Sheku Conteh currently resides at 102 4th Avenue SW. Conteh has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee.

Conteh was arrested for sexual imposition in 2015 when he engaged in sexual contact with an adult female who was asleep and unaware of the act being committed upon her.

The notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender. Any attempt to harass, intimidate, or threaten an offender or their family will result in prosecution.
