CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- A short bench forced Finlandia University football to forfeit a large portion of their 2017 schedule including their game September 23rd at Shelly Ellig Field.

Valley City State will get a win on the record books and following their 43-13 win over The University of Jamestown Saturday they will have 2 weeks off before their next game. The Vikings will take advantage of the rest but coach Dennis McCulloch hopes the team can stay on target

The next game for the VCSU will be one of their longest road games of the season,a trip to Forrest City, Iowa to battle Waldorf University. Valley City sits at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in The NSAA. You can hear The Vikings play The Warriors September 29th on KOVC.
