N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown has announced their planned productions for the 2017-18 school year.

The theater department, led by Director Mike McIntyre, will be performing four pieces including a musical and A Night of One Acts. The University typically starts with a musical, which will be “On the Town”, a 1944 musical that was turned into a film of the same name.

The show has been set for November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at the University of Jamestown. Ticket prices will be $10 each night.

The second production is “The Dining Room.” McIntyre says the show will be more intimate, with show goers attending the show on stage.

The showing will be February 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th at the Denault Auditorium in the Reiland Fine Arts Center. Cost of admission will be $8.

The Spring show is the next large production put on by the theater staff. The show is called “The Admirable Chricton.” McIntyre says the lighthearted show will tackle some deeper issues.

The show will run April 12th, 13th, and 14th and cost of admission will be $8.

The final production will be special the the University. McIntyre will have theater students present original works during “An Evening of One-Acts.”

The One-Acts will be one night only on April 26th and the price of admission will be $8.
