VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Fifty team took part in the annual Blue and White Cross Country Invite at Bjornson Golf Course Saturday.

In the girls’ varsity 5K West Fargo was the team champion followed by Century and Fargo North. Emily Goldade from Bismarck Century was the top individual, Lindsey Werner of Bismarck Legacy was 2nd. Valley City was 16th with Avery Murray coming in 48th, Stephanie Hoffarth 123rd and Courtney Lloyd 125th.

Alexander Luz from Fargo North won the boys’ 5K, Edgeley/Kulm’s Isaac Huber came in 2nd and Jaiven Hale of New Town was 3rd. The Hi-Liners took 26th. Adam Punton was the top finisher at 90th, Dakota Tahran was 129th and Buddy Scherr 170th.

Bismarck Century was the JV girls’ 4K winner with Hannah Johnson of Fargo North placing 1st. The Hi-Liners were 24th with Haylee Bjork 76th. The JV boys’ race went to Jamestown, Mason Engler of North finished 1st. Owen Plagens placed 87th for Valley City with the team coming in 29th.

In the junior high race the Devils Lake girls were 1st and Fargo North won the boys race. Valley City boys were 13th and the girls 11th.
