N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It costs money to maintain one of the most authentic wagon trains in the Midwest and the Fort Seward Wagon Train will be holding a first ever fundraiser to help alleviate some of those costs.

After its 48th trip in 2017, the group decided to hold a fundraiser. But, this fundraiser isn’t just to raise money, it’s also to raise awareness about the group and the annual event they hold.

Adam Olson is the board president for the Fort Seward Wagon Train. He says they’re looking for funds to help maintain some of the equipment and animals they use on the trail.

The fundraiser is set for September 30th at the Boondocks South of Jamestown. Olson says its a freewill offering for participation. There will be food, dancing and a silent auction with all proceeds going on to benefit the Fort Seward Wagon Train.
