N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Deputies were on scene at a home in the Northeast part of Jamestown Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, local enforcement conducted a search warrant after informing the Jamestown Public Schools as a precaution.

“Contrary to some rumors, there were no gun shots fired,” the department reported. “Distraction devices were deployed, which made two loud noises. No one was injured during this incident.”

Roads were closed during the operation and there is no threat to the public.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their help, cooperation, and understanding,” the department stated.

Calls to the department were not immediately returned regarding who the arrest warrant was for.
