VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota legislature approved of the closure of eight North Dakota Department of Transportation maintenance shops earlier this year during legislative session including those in Gackle, Courtenay and Litchville.

Valley City District Engineer Jay Praska said once the snow flies state DOT plows will hit the road.

Praska said if adjustments are required they will be implemented. But he said the current emergency procedures will remain the same.
