CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Changes have been implemented in the bus loading and unloading zones at Valley City High School.

The bus loading and unloading zone from the north side of the high school (or 5th St.) to the east side of the high school (or Central Avenue).

Superintendent Josh Johnson said this change is being made to address safety concerns with student pedestrian traffic and buses leaving the high school. A bus zone will be designated on Central Avenue and vehicles will no longer be allowed to park in this area from 8:00am-4:00pm during school days. Those wishing to pick up or drop off students from the high School may do so on the north side (5th St.)

Johnson said parents and visitors to the Junior High School will see a 15-minute parking spot outside of door #6 on the west side of the high school building. He said this spot on 2nd St. West is designated for parents and visitors that need to quickly run into the school to drop something off or are waiting for their student to come out. This reserved spot is only during school days from 8:00am-4:00pm.
