E. Botner, 99, Moorhead, Minnesota, formerly of Valley City, North Dakota, passed away on October, 22, 2017 at Eventide, Moorhead.

Myrna Evangeline Peterson was born October 22, 1928 to Ida Louise (Kulsrud) and Oscar Emil Peterson, in a little home three miles east of Litchville, North Dakota. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith at the First Lutheran Church, Litchville, on April 6, 1919. Myrna was confirmed June 26, 1932. She attended school in Litchville and graduated on May 31, 1935.

She was united in marriage to Edvick John Nelson of Eastedge, North Dakota, on October 27, 1937 at Waldheim Lutheran Church, rural Kathryn, North Dakota. Edvick passed away June 6, 1969. Myrna married Elmer Botner on April 9, 1994 in Valley City, and he passed away on May 23, 2002.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a sister, Hazel Willison; four brothers, Mervil Peterson, Herbert Peterson, Kenneth Peterson and Orley Peterson; a great-granddaughter, Layne Marie McClaflin; and son-in-law, Darryl McClaflin.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn McClaflin, Moorhead, MN and her family, Darryln Hamilton and son, Ben (Kira) Winkels; Danita (Harlee) Olafson and sons, Logan (Brianne) Olafson and their daughter, Hailey Jo Lynn, Lucas Olafson and Michael Olafson; Darryl (Dana) McClaflin, Jr., and their family, Brady McClaflin, Taylor McClaflin and Kaitlyn McClaflin; a son, Donald (Betty) Nelson, Valley City and their family, Kim (Greg) Lyon and Tracie (Ryan) Zaun and their family, Cody Olstad and Kiana Bakalar; and son, Terry (Lynette) Nelson, Moorhead, and their family, Heather (Todd) Schaffer and their family, Alison and Ian; Martin Nelson and Mitchell Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Myrna will be 11 am, Thursday, October 26, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Waldheim Cemetery, rural Kathryn.
