N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Newman Arena was host to a recent Jamestown Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event this month.

“Those in attendance at the recent chamber Business After Hours at the Harold Newman Center were treated to an exciting event,” the chamber reports. “The facility is a wonderful addition to the university campus and the community, and the students taking part in the sporting events now being held there really appreciate this outstanding new facility.”

University staff provided tours of the facility and the hors d’oeuvres and beverages were provided by Sodexo catering. The group heard from both outgoing President Dr. Robert Badal, and President-elect Dr. Polly Peterson, President-Elect about their plans for this center and providing a venue to the community.

The Chamber Ambassadors, board members and chamber member businesses attended this event, along with the university staff and guests.

The Business After Hours events are hosted to provide an opportunity for a business to showcase new services, a new location, new ownership, or for expansions or remodeling.

The Chamber Ambassadors and staff assist the businesses who host the Business After Hours event to reach out to the community and chamber members to encourage more awareness of the what is new in the community.
