Carlton Leroy Quast died unexpectedly in his home on October 23, 2017 in Jamestown, ND at the age of 49.

Carl is survived by his siblings, Patricia Liebold (Bob Bechard), Michael Quast (Rhonda), Delora Quast, Robin Kamstra (Troy), and James Behnke (Mya); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Behnke and his grandparents Richard and Nelly Baker.

Carl was born on June 1, 1968 in Britton, SD to Betty Behnke. He attended school in Britton, SD and college at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Carl served over 20 years in active and reserve military, retiring on July 30, 2017. He served three tours of duty in combat and peacetime overseas and was stationed in Korea and Washington. Carl received numerous medals and citations through his military service. He was currently employed at Dakota Brands International.

Carl was passionate about spending time with his family and you would often find him enjoying movies, outdoor activities and family gatherings. Carl will be missed by many and remembered often for his quick smile and witty sense of humor.

A funeral is scheduled for November 2, 2017 at 10 am at Williams and Lisko Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND. A prayer service will be held on November 1st at Williams and Lisko Funeral Home at 7 pm. Burial will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 2 at ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carl’s life.
