M. Evenson, 78, Jamestown, ND, formerly of Wimbledon, ND died early Wednesday morning, October 25, 2017 at Eventide in Jamestown, ND.

Louise Verville was born March 16, 1939 at Olga, ND, the daughter of Arsene Verville and Irene (Beauchamp) Verville.  She attended the local school and graduated from the Osnabrock High School in 1957.

She and Larry Evenson were married February 17, 1958 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Osnabrock, ND.  They made their home in Grafton, later Jamestown.  In 1968, Larry purchased his own barber shop in Wimbledon and Louise did daycare. Following the death of her husband in 1989, she continued to reside in Wimbledon until 1990 when she moved to Jamestown.  She entered Roseadele in 2013 and Eventide in 2014 where she resided until her death.

She was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND.

Her house was the gathering place for coffee and cards, as she was happiest with a house full of people filled with laughter.  She loved to bake for family and friends, and whistled, danced, and sang as she worked in the kitchen.

Louise (known to her daycare children and many friends as “Grandma Weezie” or “Weezie”) loved her daycare children as her own and the children loved her like a second mommy.

She is now in Heaven, reunited with her husband after his death separated them for 28 years.  Her loved ones are welcoming her to Heaven with her famous brownies, caramel rolls, and macaroni salad.

TO KNOW HER WAS TO LOVE HER.

Surviving are her children, Deb (Randy) Peterson, Jamestown, ND, Kathy Evenson, Jamestown, ND, Mark Evenson, Westminster, CO, Lori Lutz, Edgeley, ND, and Brian Evenson, Jamestown, ND; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Jeff Lutz; Sarah (Jason) Tracy – Brooks and Adley; Kimberley (Dave) Evenson – Marcus, Maddie and Katie; Ashley (Josh) Enright; Daniel (Bri) Peterson; Jesse (Leana) Evenson; and Rachael Peterson; 1 brother Gene (Diane) Verville, Bella Vista, AR; and 2 sisters Lea Waltz and Yvonne (Jerry) Kruk, both of Langdon, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law (Chong Son), and sister (Corrine).
