FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The West Fargo Packers claimed The EDC Tournament Championship Saturday with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 victory at Fargo North High School. West Fargo will be the top seed out of the East with Valley City getting the 2 seed entering state tournament play Thursday.

The Hi-Liners lose for the 1st time in 9 matches, they remain 10 games over .500 at 21-11. As they set they shift their focus to the program’s first trip to state, Coach Jill Taylor says the team plains coming into the season have come to fruition

 

Valley City was led in kills by Macy Olstad with 12 kills, Cali Halgrimson added 6. Kacee White collected 14 digs, Reagan Ingstad had 11. Ingstad registered 22 assist and Lindsey Noeske had 4 blocks.

After the match The All EDC Team was announced, seniors Reagan Ingstad and Kacee White were selected along with sophomore Cali Halgrimson. Coach Jill Taylor was named The EDC Coach of The Year.

 

Valley City’s first match at the state tournament begins Thursday night at 7pm at The Fargodome. The Hi-Liners play Bismarck High School. All matches can be heard on KOVC and NewsDakota.com
