N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals Wrestling Team will travel up to Minot this Friday and Saturday, November 17th & 18th, for the Minot Early Bird Wrestling Tournament located on the Magic City Campus.  Junior High will grapple on Friday starting at 5pm, Junior Varsity and Varsity will start on Saturday at 9:30am.  Teams confirmed in the tourney are Turtle Mountain, Watford City, Carrington, Bismarck Legacy, Devils Lake, Williston, Minot High, Minot Ryan and Velva.  AM 1600 KDAK in Carrington and newsdakota.com will provide Varsity coverage for Carrington starting at 10am on Saturday morning.

Last year at the State Tournament in Fargo, the Cardinals finished in second place on the individual side and in third place on the dual side.  Some of the top wrestlers for the Cardinals in the individual portion included Bradee Shroeder, champion at heavyweight and runner-up finishes by Lucas Geiszler at 126 pounds and Zach Broadwell at 138.  Both Geiszler (Junior) and Broadwell (Senior) return this year, Schroeder graduated.
