FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- LaMoure-Litchville/Marion volleyball moved one step closer in their quest for another state championship. The Loboes used two big runs to beat Central Cass 25-16, 25-16, 25-12 in the opening round of The Class B State Tournament at The Fargodome.
LLM never trailed in set 1 en route to the 25-16 win. In the next set The Loboes went on top early when The Squirrels came back to tie the it at 12. It was all LLM after that, they close it out on a 13-4 run. Central Cass held a lead in the final game but once they fell behind a 6 point run put it out of reach and ended the match.
Anna Holen registered 19 kills and 9 digs. Ellie Holden had 5 kills and 12 digs. Jackie Meiklejohn collected 31 assist. Kindra Hamlin had a team high 13 digs.
LLM will meet Our Redeemer’s in semifinals Friday at 7pm. The Knights had a 3-0 win over Dickinson Trinity 25-18, 25-21, 25-15. The match can be heard on Ted FM and NewsDakota.com
