CITY, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com)- The Valley City State University football team had seven individuals earn First Team All Conference honors, the North Star Athletic Association conference office announced Monday.

All told, the Vikings had seven players selected to eight First Team All Conference honors. Four Vikings were named Second Team All Conference, and another four earned Honorable Mention.

Valley City State finished the season with a 5-5 overall record and a 4-4 mark in conference play, taking fourth in the NSAA standings. The Vikings hit their stride down the stretch, going 3-1 over their last four games as they averaged 48 points per game in that stretch and outscored their opponents 192-72.

Sophomore running back Louis Quinones picked up two honors Monday, being named First Team All Conference as both a running back and a kick returner. VCSU’s other First Team Offense selections included lineman Avery Lock, tight end Tayler Lentz and receiver Jake Peterson. First Team Defense honors went to defensive end Darius Graves, linebacker Nicholas McBeain and defensive back Travon Smith.

Second Team honors went to offensive lineman PJ Peterson, defensive lineman Tyler Masat, linebacker Jesus Munuz and kicker Landon Arredondo.

VCSU’s honorable mention selections included quarterback Jalen Pfeifer, offensive lineman Dahlton Wasankari, defensive end Austin Erickson and defensive back Andrew Hanretty.
