N. D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie women’s basketball team picked up a NCAA Division II win over Minot State, 80-77. They lead wire-to-wire and built a lead as high as 16 to improve to 6-2.

Jamestown jumped out early by 9 in the first quarter and held MSU off the rest of the war. In the third quarter, the Jimmies outscored the Beavers 25-18 to push their lead to a game-high 16.

The Jimmies went 0-8 from beyond the line in the fourth to allow Minot St. back in the game. But a trio of Bryn Woodside free throws clinched the game.

Bench scoring was dominated by the Jimmies 30-1. Paige Emmel lead the team with 17, but was just 1-7 from deep.

Jamestown travels to Miami to play Florida Memorial and Keiser this weekend.
