Alli Vandal Named NSAA Player of the Week

 

MADISON, S.D. (PlayNorthStar.com)- Valley City State University junior Alli Vandal was named the North Star Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Alli Vandal – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6’0″ – Junior – Forward – Rolla, N.D. – Vandal had back-to-back double-doubles as Valley City State (N.D.) earned a weekend sweep at the Dordt College Classic. She averaged 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while shooting 64.7 percent from the field.  Vandal scored 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in an 83-80 victory over Briar Cliff (Iowa).  She followed up with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-52 victory over host-team Dordt. The two wins brought VCSU to a 6-0 overall record, which ties the program record for most wins to start a season.
