FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The National Weather Service office says a blizzard warning is in effect for southeastern North Dakota and west central Minnesota from noon on Monday until midnight Monday night.

The weather service said snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected from this system with wind gusts as high as 55 mph will cause whiteout conditions in the open country and create snow drifts as well.

Some of the counties include Clay and Wilkin in Minnesota and Barnes, Cass, Ransom, Sargent and Richland counties in North Dakota. Including the cities of Moorhead and Breckenridge, Minnesota and Valley City, Fargo, Lisbon, Enderlin, Gwinner, Milnor, Forman, Rutland and Wahpeton, North Dakota.
