N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The theme and location have been set for the 2018 North Dakota Grazing Lands Coalition annual winter conference.

The conference will be January 17th, 2018 at the Quality Inn & Suites in Jamestown and the theme will be “Our Regenerative Ecosystem.” National speakers will be in Jamestown for the one-day event. They include Deborah Clark, Birdwell & Clark Ranch in Henrietta, Texas and Author Didi Pershouse, author of “The Ecology of Care: Medicine, Agriculture, Money.”

North Dakota speakers include Pete Kronberg of Forbes, N.D. and Ken Miller of Fort Rice, N.D.

“Pete Kronberg is an innovative sheep producer and grazier, and a regenerative native landscape manager,” the organization states. “Ken and Bonnie Miller are the 2017 Leopold Conservation Award Winners. They operate a 2,000-acre farm and ranch. Over the past ten years, they have seeded the majority of their cropland back to a diverse mixture of grasses and legumes to complement their intensive grazing system.”

The conference runs from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Registration deadline is January 10th. Tickets are $30 per person, $20 for NDGLC members, and includes a noon luncheon. To register or for more information, contact@ndglc.com.
