JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown Choir will be holding their annual Christmas concert December 8-10.

The long-time concert has been held for almost 50 years, providing a time of reflection and focusing on the real meaning behind the holidays. University of Jamestown Director of Choral Activities Dr. Aaron McDermid says the concert is different than others.

Kate Stevenson and Terry Andersen will be providing the readings during this year’s concert, which has been titled “God is Love.” Dr. McDermid says each concert every year has a theme.

The unique concert has been around for some time and takes both Dr. McDermid and the students at the University months to prepare for. He pointed out that the holiday time can be stressful for most, so the concert is designed for individuals to come, pray and enjoy.

The concert will be held at the St. James Basilica on December 8th and 9th at 8 PM and on December 10th at 2 PM. Tickets are $12 and can either be purchased at the door or at the University of Jamestown Box Office.

The concert will be live streamed on NewsDakota.com Sunday, December 10th at 2 PM.
