N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown has withdrawn their original offer to Chris Schilken for the City Administrator position.

The city held a special meeting Monday to discuss the negotiations concerning the position offered to Chris Schilken. Originally, the city had approved to offer the position to Schilken on November 21st. He has served as the Economic Developer of Devils Lake and more recently as the Loan Manager for Prairie Federal Credit Union in Minot.

Following a closed executive session, Councilman Steve Brubakken made a motion.

Councilwoman Pam Phillips seconded the motion. The council unanimously approved the motion. There were no other comments made following the approved motion.

Current City Administrator Jeff Fuchs is expected to retire from his position by December 29th, leaving the city without an administrator if they fail to find one by that time.
