She will be interred at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Valley City, beside her husband, Frank Cink, who died in 1957.

Clarice Lorene Miller was born on August 17, 1913 in Valley City, ND at the farm homesteaded by her grandfather, John Miller in 1879. Her parents were Jake and Freda (Munson) Miller. Clarice lived with her family in the farm home until she was nine years old, when her family moved to Tacoma, WA. When she was 16, the family moved back to the farm in ND. She graduated from College High School in 1931.

Clarice married Frank Darrow Cink at Nebo Lutheran Church in Valley City on June 12, 1935. They lived at Crete, Rogers, Steele, and Braddock, ND where Frank was a teacher and superintendent of schools. During the war years, they lived in Wichita Falls, San Antonio, Hamilton, and Uvalde, TX where Frank was a flight instructor in the Army Air Corps. Their first daughter, Juleen, was born in San Antonio. After the war, they lived in Gackle, ND where Frank was again Superintendent of Schools.

They moved to Valley City in 1946, where Frank taught at Valley City High School. Daughter, Bonnie was born in 1947, and son, Ronald in 1951. Frank later started the Valley Flying College where he taught flying lessons, did crop spraying and flew passengers. He was injured in a flying accident in 1953. Frank was hospitalized for 4 years and passed away in June, 1957.

Clarice then attended Valley City State College to brush up on her secretarial skills. She worked as a secretary at the Northwest Nursery Co. for 10 years, and later as a secretary at the VCSC student union. She retired in 1973 at age 60 and moved to Hermosa Beach, CA to be near her daughter, Bonnie. In 1981, she moved to Yreka, CA where her sister, Eleanor and brother-in-law lived. The three traveled extensively together, visiting relatives and friends, and doing volunteer work in California for Youth with a Mission, two orphanages in Mexico, Wycliffe Bible Translators in Arizona, Teen Missions in Florida, and toured the U. S. and several European countries. She lived an active life, square dancing, cross-country skiing, doing aerobics, Tai Chi, and community church work.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Eleanor Miller Peterson, and two brothers, James Miller and Raymond Miller of Valley City. She is survived by her three grown children, Juleen of Lansing, MI, Bonnie of Valley City, ND, and Ron of Yreka, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved and admired by everyone who knew her.
