Jamestown’s Courtney Peterson tried to shoot her team back in the game in the second half making four triples, but it wouldn’t be enough. The Jays offense came up with just 15 points in the first half and trailed by 10 at the break. They got within four, but the Saints immediately answered.

Two conflicting styles of basketball took the floor and Jamestown was able to hang with St. Mary’s speed for their first win of the season. Cole Gendreau had 30, including 21 in the first half to pace the Saints.

Jamestown got a combined 49 from John Horgan (27) and Mason Walters (22) to lead the offense.
