(NewsDakota.com) After falling short in Oakes last Friday, the Ellendale High girls basketball team got back on the winning path with a 41-29 victory over Strasburg/Zeeland.

The Cardinals (4-4, 0-2 Class B District 5) used an 11-4 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Clippers; lead by Kennedy Schimke’s 13 points. Katelyn Dathe added another 12 for Ellendale.

Madison VanderVorst and Haley Eberle each had nine points for Strasburg/Zeeland (1-7, 0-0 Class B District 6).

Ellendale is on the road Thursday at Kidder County, Strasburg/Zeeland doesn’t play again until January 2, when they welcome Oakes in Zeeland.
