N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three individuals were injured following an icy collision on I-94 east of Jamestown Tuesday evening.
NDHP Sgt. Tom Herzig reports that James Mulfinger of Bismarck was traveling eastbound at around 5:00 PM before his pickup slid out of control, crossed the median and continued onto the westbound lane. The truck then collided with a westbound Honda Civic.
Honda Driver Jason Siebert and passenger Faith Sibert, both of Mandan, suffered only minor injuries. Mulfinger suffered non-life threatening, but serious injuries.
“Both lanes were blocked for a short time before one vehicle was removed from the roadway,” Sgt. Herzig reports. “Traffic was slowly directed though the scene for an hour before injured occupants were transferred and vehicles were removed from the scene.”
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
