JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A public input meeting tonight will take a look at several proposed road projects in the Jamestown area.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will be looking for people with either public or private interests to become acquainted with the proposed project and provide comments.

“The purpose of this project is to eliminate weaving conflicts due to the entrance and exit ramps at Exit 257,” the NDDOT states. “The work is identified in the City of Jamestown’s long range plans.”

The project will look at Mill and Overlay on Frontage Road as well as Bridge Deck and Expansion Joint Repair and new traffic signals along US 52 and US 281.

The NDDOT estimates funding to be a 90/10 split between Federal and State for the projects. They estimate $800,000 needed for the Exit 257 elimination project and about $200,000 for the rest of the planned projects.

The public input meeting will be held tonight from 5 to 7 PM at the Hampton Inn in Jamestown. For more information or to submit comments or concerns, contact Jay Rath at 701-328-0310 or e-mail jrath@nd.gov.
