(NewsDakota.com) After losing two in a row the last two times they won games, the Oakes High boys basketball team stopped the pattern and won their second in a row Monday, in a 75-69 victory in Napoleon against Napoleon-Gackle/Streeter.

The Tornadoes (4-4, 1-1 Class B District 5) were down two after the first, but sported a three point lead at halftime; which they increased to five at the end of the third.

To start the fourth, the Imperials (3-7, 1-0 Class B District 6) went on an 8-0 run in the opening minute, but Oakes rallied in the latter stages of the quarter, and was able to come out victorious.

Oakes’ Garrett Meehl and NGS’ Jamison Fettig each lead their team with 27 points each.
