VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- It’s been nearly a month since The Valley City Wrestling Team competed in an EDC dual but that doesn’t mean The Hi-Liners haven’t been busy.

Since beating Davies 33-26 on December 14th, they have hosted their own holiday tournament while taking part in The Rumble on The Red and The Bismarck Rotary Tournament.

The focus is now back on earning one of The Eastern Dakota Conference’s four bids to the state tournament. Valley City will wrestle in 7 dual with 5 counting in The EDC. Head coach Aaron Larson says health wise the team is ready for the final month of the regular season

Valley City, who is unbeaten at 4-0 in the EDC, will have their work cut out for them in their return back to regional competition. Tuesday night they travel to perennial powerhouse West Fargo. The Packers are 4-6 overall in duals with a 3-1 mark in the east.

Both teams had several wrestlers ranked in the last state wrestling poll with 3 in the same weight classes. With a wealth of experience in either line up Tuesday’s dual could be decided by the younger team members

The first match will start at 7 at West Fargo High School. Coverage on KOVC begins around 6:45, the dual will also be video streamed at NewsDakota.com
