N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball has had their issues with the annual trip to Dickinson and Williston, but no so this year. They did exactly what they needed to do and each team picked up two key wins.

The girls rolled Dickinson on Friday night with a 67-39 win and shook off a poor shooting night to beat Williston, 58-48. The Jays shot 1-23 from beyond the arc and couldn’t put away the Coyotes. However. their advantage of 36 to 4 on free throw attempts proved to be the difference.

Olivia Nihill hit the only three for Jamestown and it proved to be the dagger, putting them back up nine with three minutes left.

Four players finished in double-figures lead by Kameron Selvig’s 14.

The boys raced out to an early lead against Dickinson on Friday and won a wire-to-wire win, 71-60. They scored the first 10 points and never trailed.

In Saturday’s match up with Williston, the Coyotes only lead twice each by one point. Jamestown eventually took control and won the game, 82-67.

Jamestown is back at home on Thursday taking on Century.
