N.D. (newsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Fire Department was called out Monday evening to an apartment in the Northeast part of the city.

The call came in just after 5 PM at 610 11th Street Northeast. Reports say the fire between two floors was caused by a heat gun being used to thaw water pipes. The individual on scene extinguished most of the fire before units arrived, who then put out the remainder of the fire.

No injuries were reported. Five units and 25 firefighters were on scene. Jamestown Police assisted with evacuating the building during the call.
