VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Schools announced that Sheila Zinke was named the 2018 North Dakota ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) Choral Director of the Year.

Superintendent Josh Johnson said this prestigious award is selected by the members of the ACDA and given to the director in North Dakota that has demonstrated outstanding work in the area of vocal music. Mrs. Zinke will receive this award on February 2 and 3 at two concerts during the NDACDA Annual Conference at North Dakota State University.

Zinke has been teaching at Valley City Public Schools for 9 years and previously taught 20 years at Rolla Public Schools. Sheila and her husband Davey have 2 children, Douglas and Tommy.
