JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center was the recent recipient of a North Dakota Tourism grant that will bring a weekly program to the downtown area this summer.

The grant was awarded earlier this year and Arts Center Executive Director Larry Kopp says the grant will allow them to hold numerous events focused on the Hansen Arts Park.

Kopp says each Thursday, a special event will be held in the park. He says he’s currently working on scheduling for the summer series and has some arts focus thrown in the mix.

The hope of the grant and programming is to bring people downtown to the shops, restaurants and the park to enjoy what downtown Jamestown has to offer. Not only to the residents, but visitors as well.
