HARVEY, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The Carrington Cardinals Varsity Wrestling team won the Region 2 individual Tournament on Saturday, February 10th,  with a score of 217 points, Hillsboro/Central Valley finished second with 201 total points.  The prior week, HCV beat Carrington in the championship of the Region 2 duals, 38-34, ending six consecutive years of a first place finish for the Cardinals. In that tournament February third in Hillsboro, Carrington was challenged by Central Cass, but beat the Squirrels, 52-24, and remained in second place and still qualified for the State duals at the Fargodome starting on Thursday, Feb. 15th running through the 17th.

Last season, Carrington won the individual tournament in Mayville, beating Pembina County North and sent 12 wrestlers to state.

Carrington finished with three champions at the Region 2 individuals this year, here are the results for Carrington.

At the state tournament last year, Carrington finished in second place in the individual portion and third in duals.
