MEDINA, N.D (NewsDakota.com) After the last couple of seasons where things just didn’t go their way in the end, this year’s version of the Medina-Pingree/Buchanan girls basketball team has punched that elusive ticket to the State Class B Tournament, which starts Thursday in Minot.

M-P-B enters the tournament as the #1 seed, as determined by the eight coaches competing, and as the #2 team in the state in the last poll of the regular season; as voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

The Thunder’s head coach Brett Thielges talked with Jason Metko on ESPN Jamestown about the 2017-18 season, and what he expects from his team in the Magic City.

Q 101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com will have all Thunder games throughout the State Tournament, starting Thursday versus Watford City. Tip is schedule for 6:35, with coverage starting at 6:20 p.m.
